Rebonded foam is made from shredded foam offcuts. The shredded foam chips are combined with a methane adhesive and compressed into block form, then steam cured. Foam that is reconstituted in this way can be made to high densities (ranging from 70kg/m3 to 150kg/m3 ), and hardnesses. Rebonded foam hardness increases with density.

This is a heavy foam with density of 120kg/m3. This foam is suitable for use in high impact situations where strong impact absorption, and protection are required. Uses for this type of rebonded foam include gym floor mats, firm seating, including wheel chair and motor bike seat bases, bumper and high impact protective applications.
